  CREATING AND EDITING DOCUMENTS

 
Introduction
 
enables you to create different types of documents, such as resumes, reports, and e-mail messages. You can create these documents either from scratch or by using predefined templates or wizards. Each of these methods has its advantages. For instance, creating a document from scratch provides flexibility and ensures precision. On the other hand, you can use predefined templates or wizards to create professional documents quickly and easily. After creating a document, you can enter the required text in the document and save the document for future reference or modification.
 
Creating a Document from Scratch
 
Every time you start Word 2007, a blank document is created by default. You can explicitly create a new document by clicking the Office Button and then selecting the New command. This displays the New Document dialog box. On the Blank and recent page of the New Document dialog box, you have several options to create a blank document.
