New version 4 of the password manager Password Depot offers - apart from consistent and reliable protection for confidential data - several new functions for password management which make working with Password Depot even more comfortable. Secure as in a safe – this comparison is completely appropriate if you take a look at the functionality of Password Depot. Only the user himself can access his passwords, as he is the only person to know the combination, the master password, to open the safe. Access from outside is consistently prevented. In addition, Password Depot also facilitates working in the Internet, because it carries out the completion of login fields with just one click and can be carried along on a USB device.

More security

In the new version 4, files can also be attached to password entries apart from passwords and user names. Thus, an important invoice, a document with a product key or any other file can be saved with a password entry in a securely encrypted way and be accessed at any time.
The improved printing function for passwords, which is meant to make printing much easier, can only be used if the correct master password for the file is entered which ensures that no unauthorized person can get a list of all passwords. The same is true for exporting passwords to other formats.
Furthermore, URLs and comments which belong to a password entry are encrypted in the main memory of a computer as well, so that this information cannot be read out.

More comfort

With the new synchronization function, password files can be compared to each other and thus be updated. Password Depot creates a list of all changes and adjusts the current password file accordingly.
If there were changes to a password they can now be tracked via the password history. Here, accidentally overwritten or reset passwords can be found later on.
Using the improved editor for auto-complete sequences, with which the fields of a website in browser can be completed automatically, it is now even easier to generate the right sequence of input. To enter TANs into the program has also become much more unproblematic, as it can be done simultaneously instead of consecutively in version 4.

More additional features
When a website is opened in browser Password Depot can find the right entry in the password file automatically with the help of the suggest password function. Version 4 supports all browsers and is able to recognize related URLs.
