Part 1: Exploit Your Leadership Style for Organizational Impact

To be a successful leader you need to know yourself and apply your strenghts. In this part of the Journey you identify and learn to lead with your signature strengths. You will learn how to gender behavioral differences affect women in the workplace and how to minimize these. You'll also develop your personal vision, purpose and mission which will be your formula for success in moving you up the career ladder. Part 1 of Your Personal Leadership Development Plan will be completed.

Description: Trace the origins of modern art at the dawn of the 20th century in a year-long lecture series on the art historic roots and development of modernism in Europe and America. The year 2013 marks the 100th anniversary of the Armory Show at the Art Institute, a traveling exhibition that served as the first exposure of many Americans to modern and abstract art. Coinciding with the exhibition Picasso and Chicago, this series will examine the artists and movements—such as Cubism, Fauvism and Dada—that caused a major stir a century ago.

This workshop will provide an overview of policies and procedures for issuing payments to foreign nationals who are receiving scholarship stipend or fellowships at the University of Chicago. This interactive session will focus on the required documents (including sample forms, tax treaty forms and ITIN application procedures), taxation of the payments and year end reporting. This course is designed for University administrators and staff members responsible for paying scholarship stipends and fellowships.

UCSC provides access to Community Service Vans for CSRSOs to transport volunteers to and from service projects in the 6-county metropolitan area. All drivers must be certified through UCSC before reserving the van.
To become certified to drive any university vehicle:
Applicants must complete an in-person certification training. All drivers must furnish their UCID *plus* a valid US driver’s license at the time of their certification training.
Applicants from the following states will need to secure a copy of their Motor Vehicle Record from their home Secretary of State or DMV, prior to the meeting:
-Alaska
-District of Columbia
-Delaware
-Hawaii
-New Hampshire
-New Jersey
-Pennsylvania
-Puerto Rico
-Washington
To drive a 7 passenger van, applicants (typically a two-week turnaround until certification):
-Must be 18 years old by the date the van is to be driven
-Must possess a valid US driver’s license for at least the past 2 years
-Must have more than 2,000 miles driving experience with no moving violations, convictions or court-ordered supervision
